“Everything under the eyes of God, everything with God, everything to please God”, said Saint John Mary Vianney, also known as the Cure of Ars after the name of the town in France where he served for many years.
He was a great confessor, spending long hours attending to the faithful, he had the gift of prophecy, he received physical attacks from the devil and he lived devoted to mortification and prayer.
Close to its liturgical festival, which is every August 4, here is a novena in honor of the patron saint of parish priests.
