On June 27, the feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is celebrated, patron saint of Redemptorist priests and whose original icon is on the main altar of the Church of San Alfonso, very close to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome.
This image recalls the care of the Virgin by Jesus, from her conception to her death, and how today she continues to protect all her children who come to her.
Today the devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help has spread to various places, with churches and sanctuaries being built in her honor. The portrait of her is known and revered in all parts of the world.
