In recent times the health of King Harald of Norway has not been the best, and it is that the monarch has been admitted again as has been made known through a brief statement shared on the official website of the Norwegian Royal House . In it, you can read: “His Majesty the King was admitted to Rikshospitalet to be treated for a fever. He is stable.”

And that is the only thing that has been known, since beyond knowing that he has a fever, it is not known what the causes of it have been and why he had to be admitted. It was in March 2022 that he was removed from his public agenda after he contracted coronavirus. “The king has mild symptoms and will be on medical leave for the next few days,” the statement issued read.
Before that, he also went through another pothole in his health, specifically at the end of January and beginning of February 2022. King Harald of Norway resumed his official agenda on the 10th of that month with an audience in which he received the Minister of Foreign Affairs Norwegian, Anniken Huitfeldt, in which Queen Sonia and Prince Haakon were also present. The monarch’s discharge began on January 28, 2022, precisely one day after meeting with Huitfeldt, and at that time they assured that said discharge was due to a cold.

Alarm bells went off when Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt announced that she had tested positive a few hours after their meeting and after he resumed his schedule: “I wish I hadn’t tested positive the same day I had an audience with King Harald , Queen Sonia and Crown Prince Haakon. I took the test that same day and it came back negative, but I took the test again when I got a bad headache in the afternoon and it came back positive.”

But at that time it was not revealed that he had been infected, but it was already in March when he contracted coronavirus, staying away from his activities for a while until he found the strength to fulfill his agenda. One of the last appearances of King Harald of Norway took place at the Gala dinner of Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, his granddaughter, daughter of Prince Haakon and heiress to the throne, who also proved to be very close to her grandfather through the images that have been brought to light by both.
