Introduction to Anna K
Anna K is an adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s classic 1878 novel named “Anna Karenina”, which has been slated as the first-ever Russian original drama series of Netflix. According to the online streaming platform, the series is going to be a luxurious and contemporary reimagining of the original novel. Svetlana Khodchenkova is confirmed to play a major role in the Netflix adaptation.


Expected Cast & Release Date
The release date for Netflix’s Anna K has not been announced yet officially. Moreover, there are no current production dates, although it is known that filming will take place on location in Russia, in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Svetlana Khodchenkova, who has appeared in numerous Russian films and television shows, will play the main character of Anna Karenina. The other cast members for Anna K are Fedor Bondarchuk, Yuriy Kutsenko, Yuriy Borisov, Tatiana Dogileva, Dasha Vereshchagina, Yuliya Aleksandrova, and Alexander Tsypkin.

According to an entertainment source, the Russian original Netflix series will feature Anna Karenina, who is a socialite and the wife of the soon-to-be governor of St. Petersburg. Anna embarks on a life-changing love affair with Vronsky, the dashing heir to an aluminum empire. The delicate balance of their familial links and social relationships is jeopardized by their affair and it will be interesting to see how Anna will manage her personal and love life.


Synopsis
The Netflix adaption of the book Anna K will be written by Roman Kantor and produced for Netflix by 1-2-3 Production’s Valeriy Fedorovich and Evgeniy Nikishov. Kantor and Sergey Kornikhin are also the producers, and the series will be directed by Fedorovich, Nikishov, Kantor, Natasha Merkulova, and Aleksey Chupov.
